In-state Tuition for DC Residents at local schools? [#permalink]
04 Apr 2007, 20:59
Does anyone know anything about DC residents receiving in-state tuition at select schools because Congress passed some law a few years back because there aren't any public institutions in the District.
Thanks

I've never heard of that... Are you talking undergrad programs or MBA programs? If MBA programs, then I highly doubt there are any with "in-state" because DC is not a state.

I'm from the Dc are so I'm somewhat familiar with what he's asking. Supposedly a few years back, Congress passed an act that made DC residents at every state school in the United States for tuition purposes. This is supposed to be a compromise for not granting DC statehood (and thus keeping it 'nonpartial' in gov't matters).
I was beyond college-age when this happened (plus I was not actually a DC resident). I believe the poster is asking about this.
