Trapezoid (ABDE)=40 because: (DE+AB)/2 * AE
+
Triangle (BCD)=60, easiest way is to use HERON's formula. BC = CD = 13, BD=10 (Pythagorean theorem)

Look at the figure and

The area of the figure is area of Rect (2*8) + area of Rt Angle Trngl( (1/2)* 8*6)+ area of Trngl CBD =100
