Hi,

I hope this helps, though the question is pretty unclear with Statement B

Statement A :
Permeter P = 2 (KN + MN) => 15 = KN + MN
Thus Insufficient as from this we cannot get a ratio

Statement B :

Each of the 3 rectangles have same dimensions = >
Box 1 (Left Upper Corner) Dimension => A x A
Box 2 (Right Upper Corner) Dimension => A x A
Box 3 (Lower Corner) Dimension => A x A

=> MN = 2A
=> KN = 2A

Hence Ratio of KN / MN = 2A / 2A = 1 : 1

Thus sufficient

Not really sure how the lower box can have same dimensions as the 2 smaller boxes but since it is a DS question where the figure is never drawn to scale I guess you can assue it to be a Big Rectagle cut into tiny rectangles horizontally like a loaf of bread

Actually this is question from OG 11 ( DS Question no 117 ). The explanation for statement 2 wasn't clear in the book . If you OG 11 book can you check the diagram once and confirm whether your approach works ?
