In the figure ( attachment), PQRS, initially in position I, has been rotated, clockwise about point S to position II. If P subscript two, Q subscript two, and R subscript two are the second positions of P, Q, and R, respectively, and if a side of the square is one, what is the length of the path followed by P in rotating to P subscript two?

I do not see a point S that is crucial for this question.
Assuming that S is a vertex of the right-bottom angle of the left square, the answer should be pi/2.

What time is it in Russia? So you work for financial services , an accountant? How did you know BB? You two sound incredibly talented. Your right, it is pi/ 2, but how?

All I know is the 1:1: sq root two formula.

P moves clockwise by 90 degrees. Its radius SP is 1. So, you need to find a one fourth of a circumference with radius 1.

C=2pi*1
C/4=pi/2

P.S. The Moscow time is yours +8 hours. I am not an accountant; I work for an investment company that is active in a heavy industry. I am not that talented -- my score is 670. So, I have some space to get better
