I am really surprised in seeing in a lot of forums sentences like "this school is quite good for consulting, this school is good for finance, etc" simply because the % of people that go in a specific field is higher than in other school.
So INSEAD seems very good for consulting, LBS very good for Finance, IE for Industry, IMD for General Management, and so on.
But, holy shit, is it possible that people that want to do an MBA can simply be so easily fooled by statistics???
If I would like to work in management consulting, the quetion that I should ask is: "attending which school the probability of getting hired by MC firms would be higher for ME?". Simply for the fact that more people go into consulting from INSEAD than from IE does not absolutely mean that it will be more likely for me to be hired into MC if I do INSEAD instead that IE. The statistics could simply mean that people that are interesetd into consulting apply and choose INSEAD above other schools, and people which are interested in industry choose IE above other schools.
It would be interesting to see the acceptance rate from MK, BCG etc from these schools, however this would be still NOT RELEVANT to understand which is the best probability FOR ME to be hired by these schools, since it could simply mean that the average profile of people of a certain school is higher (or best suited for a certain job) than that of another school, but MY PROFILE does not change whichever school i choose!!!

Moreover you should analyze from which school (main focus, city, programme length, recruiters, fellow students,...) you as a person and your ambitions can profit most. However, you best know which school to choose, so just ignore comments that don't help you...

By the way, IE is said to be quite good for entrepreneurship
