Indian applicant with Green card [#permalink] New post 16 Aug 2011, 14:04
Hi,

I am a 30 yr old East Indian. I have been prolonging my Full-time MBA application because my Green card was pending. Now that I have Green card, I want to consider applying.

My background is a very heavily represented one, Indian male with Engineering background. Because I am a Permanent Resident, do I stand any better chance like a Domestic applicant or will I still be grouped among Indian International applicants?

budwiser,

Your grouping depends upon where you graduated from, more than where you are residing. That said, some schools might consider you a domestic applicant if you have been residing in the US for an extended period (which you have been).

Do not worry too much about being grouped into one category or the other - strong candidates will get through at most schools without needing to consider other factors.
