Dear Shawn:
I have read good reviews about your firm and also liked articles on Forbes. Thank you for reviewing profiles here at GMAT Club.
Currently I am in Boston completing my Masters in Economics. I am in second and final year of my degree and will graduate this spring. I intend to work for a year at my current part time job at boutique wealth management firm. And then apply for class entering FALL 2016. My target schools are HBS, Wharton, Stern, Columbia and Booth. Being in Boston I have visited HBS multiple times and that's why Wharton is a distant second for me. I think already having one masters, an MBA from not so great school would be not be worth. Post MBA I would like to work in Finance, specifically Investment Banking at a bulge bracket firm.
Prior to my current degree I worked for two years with TATA Motors (owner of Jaguar Landrover) in India in manufacturing division. I had 12 blue collars working under me. Before that I completed engineering from NIT Nagpur - Govt college. I wanted to study Economics to have broad understanding compared to very sharp focused engineering field.
I have started GMAT preparation and targeting score 740+ (would love to have 760+). I will reattempt GMAT to achieve this score if required.
I had trekked Himalyas, and have been amateur mountaineer. Played cricket for my undergrad school.
What do you think of my profile at first glance. Will HBS be stretch for me? Considering I have time to get great GMAT score and also refine my essays till next Sep 2015 HBS deadline?
