indian IT (from india) vs. indian-american (us citizen) [#permalink]

are they in the same pool? does anyone know how the adcom views these apps?

us born indians are as white bread as you can get, immigrant indians have more distinct cultural differences. US born indians "seem" to be more at ease around white people than around other indians, if adcoms have had interactions with us grown indians, it is unlikely that adcoms lump us grown indians with immigrant indians.

I think they are different pools, but still both very competitive. I think Indian citizens have it much tougher than Indian US citizens such as myself.

I've always gotten supervague replies from the various schools when I've asked...  I guess we'll find out!
