Indian Profile evaluation - 2.5 years workex [#permalink] New post 12 May 2011, 05:30
Hi All,

Below is my profile

10th - 85.20 %
12th - 65%
Under graduation - 75% (BSc in Information Technology, Mumbai University, India)

Was the topper of my batch. Merit rank holder for all the 3 years of undergraduation. Won, certificates and awards throughout my school and college life.

Work ex - 2.5 years in a Top Indian IT firm (Quality Assurance Role)
Was given the responsibility of leading a team of 4 on a pilot project within 3 months of joining the unit. Subsequently, entrusted the responsibility of Quality assurance for all the products of the unit.

Post MBA, would like to work in the Consulting field. (Open to explore Supply Chain Management field as had a liking to that subject during my graduation)

Planning to give GMAT in August. Targeting a score of 750. Please evaluate my profile.
Would mainly like to know whether I can apply to US B Schools with my 3 years of graduation?

Thanks.

Hi there, welcome to GMATClub! Your profile is okay, but mainly due to the fact that you shared very little about yourself. Grades matter to a certain degree, but what the AdComs want to know mostly from work (and same thing with what we need to know is - what you've contributed at work, what leadership responsibilities have you had) is your impact. At this point, you can get in a b-school, and that's pretty much it.

If you'd like, tell us where you want to work post-MBA, where you planning to attend b-school, what type of industry/function are you looking for post-MBA, and what your hypothetical GMAT score would be (what are you seeing on your practice CAT).
