Quick question - any interviewees have challenges in setting up interviews? One of my interviewers hasn't gotten back to me and it has been 3 business days.

Any suggestions? Should I just call him on the number provided by INSEAD?

Heya! I had a bit of a gap between when I wrote to my interviewers and when I heard from them. Sent one of them an email on Mon and only heard from them today. Still waiting to hear from the other one. I would say wait for 3-4 days and if you don't hear from them, then you can call them.

There could be many reasons why they haven't replied yet - your email went to their junk/spam folder, they only check their personal email on weekends, too busy with work, etc. - but all this should be taken care of in 4 days or so.

All the best!

Aah, good to know. I was worried about the junk/spam filter bit. Wondering if he never received the email in the first place... a follow up email would've been moot.

However, it so happens that he won't be interviewing me anymore and they're looking for a replacement. Explains the lack of response.

Good luck to you too...

Can any of the R2 admits throw some light on the 5000 deposit payment deadline?

Thanks in advance.

It depends. Mine is 1st of October. But I would check with the admission team if you are not sure of yours.

Re: INSEAD JANUARY 2011 INTAKE [#permalink]
I attended the INSEAD 11D Drinks session that organized by INSEAD staff yesterday (16 Sep) here in Singapore, and managed to meet many R1/R2 admits and some of the R3 applicants. There are some INSEAD alumni and staff over there as well. Overall, it was a good session, for networking and information. It is great to hear their excitement in waiting for the school to start, preparing for lodging, travel etc.

One point to note is that, all R3 applicants (expect one) that I have spoken to yesterday have difficulty in scheduling the interview time. For those R3 applicants out there who has yet to hear from your interviewers, you are not alone.

Also, I believe that I have met some of you who are in this forum yesterday. For those who attended the session, can you please identify yourself?

Ok here's an interview question that I'd like to know your thoughts on: What other schools are you applying to?

How do you address this question if you are a Jan 2011 Insead interviewee and you also applied to US schools for Fall 2010 but didn't get in?

Its a tough one because you want to be honest but you don't want to give the impression you applied to insead as a last option.

Would appreciate your views.

You answer the question in the present tense. Being rejected from other schools for the class of Sep 2010 isnt relevant to your interviewers question.

It hurts you in two ways,
1) Your answer is irrelevant, and your not addressing the interviewers question.
2) You are letting your interviewer spring a doubt on your intellectual/professional capability.

Now if you are applying to other schools simultaneously its fine to accept that and let your interviewer know that you have other options in contention, but I doubt there is much of choice for R3 candidates here, so the question may not be really apply .

Hello all,

I applied for R1 September 2011 Intake and I received a application mail completion from Stefanie today. Application deadline is September 29 , 2010.

And any idea how long will it be before they intimate you their decision? Do I have to wait till the deadline which is Nov 5?

The other thread opened September 2011 has been very mediocre hence posting in this thread ...thanks in advance

Hi all!

Can anyone from the admitted R2 students share when the deposit deadline is for them? I'm guessing some time soon?

Hello acer2knight,
INSEAD usually gives its decision within the 2-3 days prior to the decision day. Many candidates also get a response (positive or negative) on the decision day.
