I like the fact that you are very optimistic.
It is not finished yet
I am actually preparing funding and working on the logistics in case I get admitted. it proves to be difficult and not much progress but still I feel better to start now
on the other hand , I hope I will be able to manage the shock if I do not get admitted
It's smart that you made all the planning now. Seems like most of the AC are on vacay. But how can you tell the amount of people on the WL?
I do not have the number of candidates on waiting list , I tried to work out the number of admits on R3 and work the worst case scenario on yield to figure out the number of those who will decline their seats ( yeild is reported 70% to 80%) and I have worked number based on the 80%
I have an email from my AC telling me that the number of candidates on the WL is irrelevant as WL has no ranking so no one moves up the list. the challenge that they need to achieve a diverse class on both campuses so when space opens up and they want to chose from the WL what is important is how diverse in terms of, nationality, age, professional background, gender...etc
so although I do not know the number of ppl on the WL that is not important to me. what is important is how diverse I am and I think I am semi-diverse so my chances are 50/50 . How diverse are you ? that is the question
