That's correct... you should also think about what kind of job would you be applying for once out of INSEAD. I know that IB tend to recruit more people around January (hence January intake is preferable)
I was the first on this forum in receiving the interview invitation and I had the news on Wed 22 Nov (the deadline was on Fri 24th)... most of the people however received the e-mail on the very last day so I wouldn't worry at all!
btw... yesterday I have been at an INSEAD presentation and met with Antonio Fatas and Frank Brown. I must say, I could have given the presentation myself considering the amount of things I have learnt about INSEAD over the last months...
When the presentation ended, I thought about asking Antonio Fatas if he knew when final decision e-mails were going to be dispatched but then I figured he wasn't going to be very knowledgeable on that topic!!
I took a vacation away from home this past weekend and haven't been up-to-date on all the messages. But I figure the admission fever has gotten to everyone.
Each day seems so terribly long.
Good Luck all...
I couldn’t contain myself and so called up admissions at INSEAD. The admissions coordinator told me that they have started sending out emails today. They would continue to do so until Friday. She also told me that admits , rejects and waitlists are all being sent out at the same time. There is no specific order of preference for the three categories. However I do not know if the emails are being sent out in alphabetical order or order in which applications were reviewed. No clue there.
I'm sorry you did not make it :( It has been tough for the IT group - several WL's in BW forums too. Are you applying elsewhere?Go ahead and feel sad for a day and then get back to life with energy :) you are relatively young so you should try elsewhere too, and try again! If you were like me, reaching senility ;), you'd have to be a little more worried. Good luck in your future endeavors!
