Thanks Helg.
Necromonger - don't be negative, there are two more days to go and we know that INSEAD usually send most of the interview invitation out on the very last day. On the BusinessWeek forum there are just 8 or so people who have received an invitation.
By the way, there's a guy there - MBA2007 I think - who definitely "self-confident"....

Hi Venky, I'm sorry to hear you've been dinged by INSEAD. Good luck with the rest of your applications.
Necromonger, any news?

They suffer from the same problems your other essays did. To be perfectly honest, if this is what you submitted to your R1s, I wouldn't expect any of them to come through. I know thats harsh, and I apologize for that, but I see no point in lying to you. You should purchase Paul Bodine or Montauk's book, read it, and then tackle R2s. For now, if you want to keep plowing forward, start writing full essays - not bullet points. You can't submit one sentence per line in a bullet point format, it won't work.

*relief* I got my interview invitation today. Was getting a little anxious - at least INSEAD does not, so far, consider me a dinosaur. Tim - guess we now need to prepare for interviews! (they've asked me to wait until they finalize an alumni in the US)
Venky - I'm very sorry to hear they did not short list you. Take constructive criticism from who those who can help (people like Rhyme) and improve your essays for the next rounds - am wishing the best to you. If you need a "localized/indian" perspective of your essays for INSEAD to see what you could do better, you are welcome to send them to me.

I saw MBA2007's comments - while he may be a genius and all that he makes out to me, it's just very annoying to see his posts. Immature and stupid - well, in case he think he's funny, it sure is bad sense of humor.

Thank Pelihu - that's right, just one school. I might also apply to IMD but I haven't made up my mind yet.

Well done necromonger! Glad for you! INSEAD said the same thing to me about arranging interviews with Spanish alumni.
As far as MBA2007 is concerned... well, I'd like Rhyme, Pelihu, Jay, etc to have a quick look at what this guy is saying (you can find the link in the first post of this topic) so that we can have a lough all together...

Congratulations guys!! Good luck with the interviews.
Now I kinda wish I had applied for R1. This wait is going to be painful.
