Insead Sept Term good for career switchers?

Insead Sept Term good for career switchers? [#permalink] New post 17 Aug 2009, 20:18
I am really interested in INSEAD due to one yr course length and international experience. But I am trying to switch from technology to corp finance and don't know if it is wise to apply for Sept term right now knowing that there would be no internship available.
1. Do all career switchers apply specifically to Jan term?
2. Does adcom discourage career switchers in Sept term and admission chances go low?

I'll be grateful if anyone could share his/her experience on this topic? :)

If there is already a similar topic, please let me know...don't want to clutter.

i have a friend who graduated from INSEAD, Jan Intake... He was a career-switcher (engineering -> banking). According to him, an internship (available only during Jan Intakes) is really important because it would be tough to switch career w/o any prior or limited experience... Esp so during times like this... it will even be tougher... hope this helps!
