INSEAD September 2011 intake waitlist

I would highly appreciate it if anyone of accepted guys go in MBA connect and inform us about # of total accpeted and also # of Koreans.

Seems like there are not too many R3 wait-listers, I hope at least.

Well, isn't this number was the one right after the round 3 decision date? If so, why the most recent Aba's total number of accepted is more than Chukibu's in just a few days?

Did the school select more from the wait listed guys since Chukibu posted this?

In order to show in MBAConnect, one has to have received the login detail from INSEAD and also made the profile. I will guess that there are 18 people that were a bit late doing this.

Does anyone know when in September will the classes start? I am on R3 waitlist and was told that I could receive a decision anytime between now and 29th August. I am wondering if the decision comes as late as 29 August, will I have time to do the background work (visa, apartment, etc.) and join in time before the classes start?

The school starts on 29-th of August.
The number of Canadians is 40(m-25).

@aba: Thanks for keeping us updated with the numbers! Would you be able to tell how many of the 40 Canadians have dual nationality with Lebanon? Thx in advance.

Last thing I did was give an update about two weeks before the round 3 decision date. I had several significant additions to my profile by that time, and I itemized the differences as well as tell the adcom why it made me a better candidate for insead. I encourage you to make such updates, as from the adcom point of view, it lets them know you're interested and will likely make a quick, positive decision once you receive the acceptance. All things equal between candidates, I'm guessing the adcom prefers candidates who will say yes rather than think about it for a few weeks before accepting, especially if they're round 3 or later.

What's the consensus on this thread? Is there something to look forward to soon - perhaps one last big wave of WL acceptances before they lock down the Sep 2011 intake?

I don't think we will hear anything before the R3 initial deposit timeline, which should be 4 weeks from the R3 results date 27th May.

Just want to let you know that you have made a right choice by choosing INSEAD.

Application fees can only be paid in Euros.

INSEAD's application form PDF generates TWO links for the recommenders (this action locks the following fields: Name, DoB, Program Start Date).

Following questions are asked to the recommender:

Intro) How long have you known the candidate? Define your relationship with the candidate and the curcumstances whereby you met.

1) Comment on the candidate’s career progress to date and his/her career focus.

2) What do you consider to be the candidate’s major strengths? Comment on the factors that distinguish the candidate from other individuals at his/her level.

3) What do you consider to be the candidate’s major weaknesses?

4) Comment on the candidate’s potential for senior management. Do you see him/her as a future leader?

5) Describe the candidate as a person. Comment on his/her ability to establish and maintain relationships, sensitivity to others, self-confidence, attitude, etc. Specifically comment on the candidate's behaviour or skills in a group setting/team environment.
