I was going to start another thread actually. My biggest dilemma here is that INSEAD asks for the payment by March 29th, and LBS won't make the decision till March 28th. Payment will take ~3 business days for some of us foreigners so I don't know what to go with. What are your thoughts? I've been admitted to INSEAD, and have my LBS interview on tuesday, flying to Mexico for it. Family and friends say INSEAD (if LBS works out) despite the one rank difference on FT, currently, I'm inclined to agree. Pros for INSEAD VS LBS: 10 months/lower cost/faster recuperation of loan; dual campus options for those who want to graduate in a better economic climate (Singy), more diverse class (from what I hear); and I'm not sure about this but more supportive alumni (based on my experience till date and what I''ve heard) Issues with INSEAD VS LBS: No internship for our batch. I'm a Research Analyst, and I need that internship, this will be a significant problem for me; I also have a non-finance/quant background having done my bachelors in Biotechnology, thus a longer course where I can focus on subject matter is a boon (I know this works the other way for most of you). LBS VS INSEAD: Expensive!!!! I'm factoring in about $130,000 for INSEAD total, I'm looking at between $170-200K for LBS depending on where I live, that is a very significant difference and of course the opportunity cost of not working another year. However, though I heard the 15 month option is for fast-track individuals (not me), 18 months is feasible and one can still do a great internship and recuperate some costs. What do you guys think? Also, if any body can comment on how to circumvent the INSEAD 29th March payment and LBS 28th March decision, do share your thoughts.

There were 217 for R1 and 100 in R2. Is that the final figure..
Both LBS and INSEAD are great - you cannot go wrong any way. Guess depends on what and where one wants to do/go after the MBA.

Aximili - congratulations on your admit. You can ask them for a week's extension, cant you. I guess it should be normal for them.

Reg. the payment, they have an option to pay by credit card and that should be instantaneous. That's kind of what I am thinking of doing but need to confirm. I am leaning towards LBS primarily because of the internship, London location and it is a little bit easier for me personally because my wife will (in theory) be able to work in London while I study. I don't think ranking difference matters at all for these two schools but definitely the length of the course is a huge opportunity and actual cost difference that pegs things against LBS. But who knows, maybe the decision will be taken for me

Yes, this is what mybusiness meant but the number of admits on MBA connect is still evolving rapidly after R2 admits log on for the first time. It was 403 admits today.
