Hi,

Let's recomfort the WL here! It IS the most difficult situation. At least when you got a ding you can enter a rage, destruct everything, claim that you always preferred LBS and move on...When I learnt I was wailisted I almost wished it was a ding, so I could focus on something else :?
However, there is still hope. Some of us were taken out of the waitlist at the beginning of the month, and if the past is of any guidance, we know that some will be called end of March/beginning of April and again end of April/beginning of May. Hell, they even call one or two people one month before the program starts...

I don't think the list will move before at least one month: they need to see how many R2 prefer another program, and they are not even sure whether the WL R1 that have been admitted later have paid. Then, maybe they will want to feel the quality of the R3 batch (March 21th). Again, the WL people are not only called to fill in the positions of the R1/R2 admitted that go to another school: they also compete with R3. If you, wailisted, are a better match than a R3, you will fill a position originally dedicated to a R3.

I will keep you updated about the profiles on MBA Connect as soon as it has stabilized!

@balky7 I totally agree with you. Waitlist is not the game over, all of us still have chance.

I read through waitlist thread 2011 September intake, at the end of the day, many received offers or find an exit to other program (though I didn't summarize the exact number).

I would say the end of March won't release too many seats for wailisters, bcoz AdCom would like to see the overall quality of R3 applicants. The real hit will come around the end of April, roughly 1 week after R3 interview notification. It should be around 27th April (Friday). Then more seat will be released by R3 decision deadline, R3 deposit deadline(4 wks later) and then waitlister deposit deadline.

Personally, I would use this as a guidance to decide when should move to other programs.

I keep my finger crossed for all of us.

Folks,
Looking at MBA connect, there are still some decent seats left.
So, you sure do have hope.

The only challenge is that you compete with R3.
However, who knows not may good profiles apply in R3? (lack of scholarships, wait for next R1/R2 in batch, etc)

So, hope shines:)
All the best!

Thanks for positive words and congratulation on your admit happytraveller. Maybe admitted students are yet to register on MBAConnect and will be better to analyse the data after some more days/ a week. Yet will you mind helping us with current total number of admitted students? and their break up depending on countries such as India/ France/ USA (male and female).

Thanks again !!

Of course, we will update about the # and profile of admits. However, we have to wait till everybody logs on to do a detailed list like before. (right now only around 340 people show up instead of the 400 that should be). Funny thing, I registered 15 days ago and still don't appear. Let's "wait and see"...

right now: :!: some have double-nationality
46 indians 31 M 15 F
27 french 24 M 3 F (seriously, what is this crappy ratio? Most retarded country ever? As a French girl, I feel alone :-D )
47 americans 32 M 15 F nearly 30% have double nationality

You were right; some more participants did accept indeed, and the registered list has soared.
However, the remaining to be filled still remains 'decent' :)

So far, 371 seats filled in.

Have postive hopes folks, some of you may make in!

I also second happytravellers opinion..

The conclusion from my WL research is that there is a good chance to get admitted at several "checkpoints" from now untill matriculation, so keep your hopes up and all the best to those still waiting!

balky7: I sent you a PM regarding why you're not showing up on MBAConnect, had the some problem :)

Hi All,

Also remember that some of the R2 admits (although now on MBA connect) may still drop out. They have about 30 days to pay their deposits to claim their places... Some may still decide to go to other schools etc - although I have NO IDEA why????

Alright, MBA count is now 413 (remember, some of those will drop out! Even the best schools are unlikely to have a yield of more than 85%)
65 nationalities! As always, many people have double nationality (especially Americans), so the total of the list is superior to the total of people.

Thanks from the behalf of all of us...:)

Thanks balky7, that's a great work. Here is a question, is 413 the number of those received offers or those who decide to attend the program? If those who choose to go for M7, they may reluctant to register their names under INSEAD. Does it make any sense?

Balky, in your opinion, do you think they monitor diversity per class (July/December) or year (in this case, 2013)?
