Insect infestations in certain cotton-growing regions of the world have caused dramatic
increases in the price of cotton on the world market. By contrast, the price of soybeans
has long remained stable. Knowing that cotton plants mature quickly, many soybean
growers in Ortovia plan to cease growing soybeans and begin raising cotton instead,
thereby taking advantage of the high price of cotton to increase their income significantly,
at least over the next several years.

THE OA IS B. However, I do not agree with the OA? why not? B is the only logical answer, even if you don't think so, you can eliminate all the other choices easily.

THE OA IS B. However, I do not agree with the OA? Reading the stem i derive the funda that cotton prices increased because of decreased supply because of insect attacks hence any step which does the opposite will spoil the plan of farmers . hece any increase in cotton supply will weaken the success rate of their plan. hence we are left with only two options valid , B and C im actually confused between B and C since B which talks about pesticides does not say anywher in argument farmers are using these pesticides in cotton farms
As far as C is concerned ,it says demand remains stagnant for cotton hence when more farmers produce cotton will increase the supply thereby leading to reduced cost of cotton .But here no mention of insect infestation role,But still this appears more close to argumentHence I go for C IMO C whats the source of the question?
