International MBA options [#permalink] New post 20 Aug 2009, 03:35
Hi Guys,

I had my GMAT the day before. Managed a score of 710 (Q 49, V 37)
I have a few queries. It would be great if someone from you can help me out with these.

To start with, my Profile:
Degree: Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, India
Work Exp: 4 years in top Indian IT Giant(by May' 10)
GMAT: 710
Interest: MBA in IT/Systems/Operations

My queries are as follows:
1. With my GMAT score, I stand a good chance in which good international MBA colleges (MBA in IT/Systems/Operations)? I come from not so rich family and hence can't afford to spend more than Rs. 20 lacs (~ 40,000 USD)(I think thats the maximum loan that I can get). Also a good placement would be necessary since I would have to repay the loan.

2. I have heard that there are a few good Master of Science (MS) courses in US (like MIS), which accept GMAT score. Any idea about any such colleges? How advisable is it to do a course in MIS as against MBA.

Thanks again..
Cheers..

Just a small suggestion, since you are looking for international MBA options the above figure converted into US dollars will probably get you more relevant replies :)

Hi Gags,

I am also sailing in the same boat. My budjet is max of 20L as you say.
I came to know there are few courses(both Business Courses & Technical Studies) in Europian countries comes in our budjet. Business courses are not exactly MBA, but kind of masters in economics,..

do you have any idea them ? Your ideas will help me too.

Cheers!!
