One more thing many of you folks might've noticed....why is there is so much GMAT disparity between top 10 US and top 10 international programs ? Has this disparity gone up in the last 2 years ?

jiang pointed out new rankings for asia area schools: http://www.topmba.com/mba-rankings/top- ... ustralasiahow much stock should one put into the region specific rankings as opposed to the world rankings? Should people go for name recognition or rankings for international schools? Obviously people know imd, insead, lbs but what else? HKUST? i think Ceibs is lesser know and prob 2nd best in asia

Can anyone comment on the MBA program at MGSM in Sydney and Monash in Melbourne?

Pretty good rankings. Here we go with a lovely document with the statistics for various international(non-US) schools .The best thing about the document is that the schools have been categorized across Asia, Europe and Canada and is quite comprehensive i.e. it lists around the top 25 programs in Europe, around 20 in Asia and the top 10 in Canada.

Obviously, the starting salaries would vary across continents due to Purchasing power parity, so asian schools would have low salaries in USD .For eg, people graduating from ISB,Hyderabad, the top Indian school start with something like around 20 lakhs($40k) in Indian currency. And this is a huge amount in India but may seem meagre according to the US PPP. Didn't you read the notes they have given on the first page clarifying this thing ?

Just weird like Melbourne is FT rank 27 yet salary 120k while hkust is 4th but 70k both in asia. living cost cant possibly have a 50k diff can it?

I think they can! I'd say living PPP wouldn't differ much in the countries of the Indian sub continent ,China and to an extent Hongkong,Singapore,Indonesia. But Australia is an altogether different story! Did you know that even a plumber or an electrician makes something like $80k/year in Australia ? By the way, Australia ain't in Asia;it's a different continent

These classifications always seem to be about general rep. If one is looking based on the benefit it has in preparing you for work in certain domains, what rating should he or shee consult. Eg: I wanna be a tech company manger or consultant.. Which is the top school for me? Or financial something etc...? Posted from my mobile device

I see IE is ranked in front of IESE, yet there is a bug salary discrepancy (mba promo videos like that word) between the two schools.

Hi guyz, thanks for the list. But wanted your suggestion on - 1. Is it worth doing 1 yr MBA from Colleges from UK ?? say from Rank 5 - 20 in UK, not the LBS n Cambridges ( thinking practicle here) Colleges like NBS, Glasgow etc Specially now when they are talking about changing Work Permit Rules in UK, Hike Fees. Is it worth spending so much on degrees from these colleges ? or is it better to work harder score better and get into a good college in India. I am a NRI, 4+ yrs exp - Sales in Electrical Manufacturing sector, got 580 in GMAT, 5.5 in AWA. I was expecting a 650+, but hell wht i scored is what I scored. Cheers, Ash

I just find it questionable that Tuck and Haas are ranked 2 and 3, above some of the other schools. Don't get me wrong, I think Tuck and Haas are great schools -- I just don't know if they are really #2 and #3...

I really like Cranfield as a UK Business School. Didn't do my MBA there but have been on some management courses that were quite impressive:
Cranfield Full-time MBA program
26th in the world 13th in Europe 34th in the world 3rd in the world for teaching Economics 5th in the world for value for money 7th in the world for aims achieved 8th in the world for career progress 8th for top salaries today in Europe
Executive MBA
33rd in the World 4th in the UK 3rd for top salaries today in the UK 9th for top salaries today in Europe
The Cranfield MBA is offered as a one-year full-time program or a two-year executive program. The executive program has the option of being part-time or modular.
