Following up on the success of the last session in Nov, I figure I'd hold another one! This will be a comprehensive guide to interviewing with both general advice as well as content specific to Booth. I anticipate roughly 2 hours in length and will be sure to save time at the end for questions. The structure of the webinar will be as follows - first section is all about the interview in general (advice applicable to any school) - the second part much more tailored to Booth. I'd say the general interview material is roughly an hour to an hour fifteen in length, the booth specific material roughly 20 or 30 minutes. Last time was a great session, or at least I think it was, so I'm hoping this one is even better!

I plan to cover:
- What an interview is all about
- What it isn't about
- What are people generally assessing?
- On campus vs off campus, pro and cons, complete with data!
- Preparation tips, including guidelines on answer length
- Guidelines and frameworks to help you develop your stories
- The top 4 questions you must know as well as data illustrating the most common type of question!
- Dealing with difficult questions
- How to use the stories you already know to your advantage
- Sample good answers and sample not-so-good answers
- A long list of practice questions (some from here, some not)
- Example questions to ask the interviewer (for both students and alumns)
- Guidelines and things to keep in mind post-interview
- What to do if you don't get a reply to thank you notes
- What to do if your interviewer is difficult
- An overview of booth's culture (what does fitting in mean?)
- The five key things in a booth interview you want to keep in mind

Sounds interesting and am thinking of joining. What time is this going to be and how exactly does it work? Live, recorded, audio only?

Read the Rhyme's post once again.

Come on. I think that 20$ is already a fairly low price comparing to prices charged by admission consulting companies for interview preparation (300$-600$).

Rhyme thank you for great innitiative! I dont know whether I will have an opportunity to join the Webinar (due to time differences I will be in office or outside that time), but I would buy a recorded video/audio material for personal use.

It's 8pm EST on Wed. Its live in that I will be streaming the content -- it's both video and audio (although the video is just a PPT I control).

I just paid. I'm assuming this will be webex or an equivalent?

Email just sent to everyone who signed up. If you signed up and I missed you for some reason, please PM me!

Also, yes, this will be a webex like thing. As for taking notes, I will do my best to record a copy and provide a link to the video after the fact, but .... I'll admit that last time we had some challenges with the recording not working terribly well, so I can't be 100% positive it'll work. This time around we are using someone else and the tests I ran all worked just fine, but I don't want to promise it and then fail - I'll do what I can to make sure it records properly.
