Intro to GMAT [#permalink] New post 07 Apr 2007, 12:19
Hey...so I need your help here, I am a little zapped as to how to go about the GMAT and college applications -- all I am looking for is advice.

I want to do the MBA next fall, 07.
I plan to take my gmat this summer.
What is the round system the colleges have?
Can you recommend some articles I can read online that would guide me around a bit?

Thanks
-A

Go to http://www.businessweek.com and http://www.review.com -- both have sections on b-school and a lot of articles about applying, what schools look for, etc. They're a good place to start.

The final deadlines for most applications are wrapping up soon. If you haven't taken your GMAT yet, you will not be starting business school in Fall '07.

In fact, many people are taking the GMAT before the summer so that can be ready to apply in the fall for classes starting Fall '08.

yeah, you might find it's a bit tight to get into bschool for fall of 07. It normally takes longer preparation than that.

The only way to get into an MBA program in FALL 07 is by studying GMAT for a month and take in mid May and then apply to a regular MBA program at some state-university that offers rolling admission. That's if you get lucky and have strong work experience, high GPA, and reasonable essays .

I'm studying for the GMAT right now hoping to get into an MBA program by FALL 2009 or FALL 2010.
