Hi guys,
Does anyone out there know what score on the GMAT would be considered as competitive among the Investment Banks?
Division: Investment Banking
Service: M&A, Global Capital Markets, or Operations
Thanks

Mckinsey & Co (management Consulting) said above 710 is really good for an asian. And a 780 would almost guarantee you an interview...

Getting an interview is the only time the GMAT score will matter (most likely). Most associates and VPs don't care how you did on a test that you took years ago. For banking/consulting the school you went to is much more important that your GMAT score. A partner with McKinsey once told me that on average they might hire 20 people from HBS vs. 1 from Purdue (speaking in generalities not exact numbers). He admitted that a person from Purdue is likely just as good as someone from HBS but taking people from HBS is safer so that's why they recruit so heavily there.
By the way if I had to guess I would say the average in banking/consulting is approx. 700+.
