Stmt 1 can be written as ( 5^K * 5 ) this easily gives value of 5^K

Stmt 2 can be rearranged as

5^K - 5^K-1 = 5000
5^K ( 1- 1/5) = 5000
This on simplification can give 5^K

I'm going B.

According to statemetn one, K can equal 4. In that case, 5^k = 625.

As of statement two, same as Kyatin.

Its B, statement 1 only tells you 5^k>600, but thats not enough

Through manipulation you can get 5^k=(-2500/-4), which gives you enough information.
