1) a = b^3
2) b < 3

Grockit! Please Explain

Even when combining the statements we can have an YES as well as a NO answer:

If a=-8 and b=-2, then a^b=\frac{1}{64}>\frac{1}{256}=b^a.
If a=b=1, then a^b = b^a.

Answer: E.

What would be a good way to tackle statement 1

would you substitute in the main equation or use examples?
