(1) X^3 is an odd integer.
(2) X is an odd integer

E.

1: if x = k^(1/3), where k is an any odd integer.
x = 3^(1/3), x^3 = 3
x = 1, x^3 = 1
nsf.

2: x could be any odd.

hence, from 1 and 2 too also nsf. we also know x is an odd integer.

The questions asks :

Cube root ( X) = odd integer

or X = cube ( Odd Integer) ??

Option 1 :

X ^ 3= Odd Integer

X = Cube ( Odd Integer )

A Sufficient

Option 2

X is Odd - Which could be anything..

Is the answer A?

(2) X is an odd integer

Hmm, E for me.

(1) you know that x is any odd. Can be any odd. INSUFFICIENT.
(2) you know that x is any odd. Can be any odd. INSUFFICIENT.

Together, more of the same.

I think answer is C here, and here are my point:

Q: cube-root(X) = odd integer?
1) Ins: X^3 can be any, for example 5
2) Ins: X can be any, for ex. 5

Together: Suff: if X -s and odd int, then X^3 will be simply X*X*X and we can figure out that the cube-root(X) is just X in our example, and X is an odd integer.
