Is it too late? [#permalink] New post 21 Nov 2010, 05:04
hi everyone,
i started working on my b-school applications a while ago aiming at first rounds, but had a crazy few weeks at work and couldn't finish everything on time :(
so, now i have to apply on 2nd or even 3rd rounds... i found a list of late deadlines for 2011 programs:
http://www.vocaz.com/DeadlinesCurrent.htm.

i was wondering if i still have a shot or is it too late for me? do you think applying in late rounds will hurt my admission chances? will it be harder to get a scholarship? i'm afraid i'm just wasting my time...
what do you guys think?

It depends on how much work you have already done. If you have completed the GMAT and are satisfied with your score, have a short list of schools that you want to apply to, and have an idea of why you want an MBA, I think you still have plenty of time to apply round 2 to schools. You should ask for recommendations ASAP, if you have not already done so. Round 2 does not hurt your chances of admissions.

Hey,

Don't fret too much.

I would reiterate what has been already said, its better if you had applied in R1 BUT its over so stop worrying and work on R2.

Just make sure you spend considerable amount of time on your goals and the professional things that motivate you. Be crystal clear, dont be vague like yeah i want to go to Ny and study.

Regards.

I agree. many applicants are accepted on rounds 2,3 and even 4. that's why schools have those rounds - they don't fill all the seats on round 1... go ahead, what do you have to lose?
good luck!
