Is it worth 30k debt to go to a top Macc school? [#permalink]

Hey guys, I could use some opinions
I am wondering if it is worth it for me to take on a substantial amount of debt in order to go to a top Macc school. I have been accepted to Mendoza, and am hoping I will be accepted into Baruch. I already have an internship lined up for this summer (not big 4, one of the companies just outside the big 4). I am sure I would have a good chance at the Big 4 from either school if I wanted to, but I'm not sure if I do. Basically I was wondering if you guys think it would be worth it to take on debt, or to try and go somewhere cheaper, get the Macc, pass the CPA, and be debt free.

Depends where you want to work.
Mendoza has great recruiting network that you can go anywhere you want.
The question is do you want to pay for recruiting and a high chance of Big 4 potential employment?
If you want Big 4, then Mendoza or Baruch is for you. Big 4 recruits mostly from on campus for full time.
Good luck in making the choice.
Disclaimer: I'm currently a Mendoza MS student. Soon to be graduate and Big 4 bound in the Southwest.

Congrats,
What was your gpa/gmat to get into a top school? I have been looking at some of the top schools for next year and am wondering if I should apply. Also, do top schools usually offer scholarships?
