Is launching a new business a valid app goal? [#permalink] New post 22 Aug 2008, 13:42
I'd like to say that I want to parlay my consulting and technology experience into a new business, and want a MBA to help do that...but is that a valid application goal? I'd like to discuss this on the board.

I think many people put starting their own business as their long term goal. But usually they have a short term goal that will help them get the experience/connections or whatever to start that business. Such as, I want to work in MC covering the retail sector and then eventually start my own retail business. That example was total crap but you get the idea

IHateGMAT, those were my initial thoughts on what I would say. I think it is also a more viable situation, rather than saying I play on finishing my MBA and immediately starting a business (which probably isn't viable with so many loans and so little new biz experience).
