I've read in a few places that you need management experience. My problem is that I doubt that I'll get management experience in the near future in my job. Does this rule me out from one of the better schools? How about NYU (as I live in the area)?

Full time programs don't require formal management experience. The reality is, most people in their 20s don't have the opportunity in an office/corporate environment to manage people (as they're basically in entry level jobs).

It's about highlighting certain skills and traits from your experiences (either from work or outside of work) that show the potential for being a "great boss to work for someday" even if you haven't been the boss just yet.
