I was thinking more along the lines of I would forget the material or be too focused on GMAT to have time to worry about applications...but are you saying that I might not even get the scores back in time to make R1 deadlines? I always thought you could submit applications with your self-reported unofficial score and wait for the real one to get to them. Is this not true?
Essays are VERY time consuming. Expect to spend three or so weeks on one application.
Regarding score submission:
This depends on the school. You need to contact the schools/check the schools' policy on these things.
