Thanks

r=-2/(s-x) which means if r is odd only possibility is s-x=-2 or 2 or -2/3 or 2/3 etc, which implies r=1 or -1

rs+2=rx, so if r is odd..we dont know the value of x or s..so 1) is insuff

2) x=s+2; rs=r(s+2)-2 rs-rs=2r-2 or 2r-2=0 which is only true if r=1...

we dont know anything about r..

1+2 together we know that r=odd, i.e 1..or 3 or 5 we dont know

Thanks. I do not have the OA for this but I seem to agree with E and agree with your explanation. Does anyone have different opinion?

rs = rx -2 ?
rx - rs = 2 ?
r (x - s) = 2 ?

1: r is an odd number. nsf..

2: x = s + 2
x - s = 2
nsf.

togather: only possible if r = 1 (or -1 as well, i guess).
E.

How did you get r = 1?

We do not know whether rs = rx - 2? This is waht we have to proove.
