if you mean sqrt(X-3)^2=3-X, then it will be B.

If sqrt(X-3)^2=3-X, means x < 0

From 1 , we can not tell specifically if x < 0 as all it says that X is not equal to 3

From 2 : it is clear that x < 0

So answer is B.

You are slightly wrong:

If sqrt(X–3)^2=3–X, then |X–3|=3–X;
so, X–3<=0, and X<=3

(1) of no use
(2) X<0 OK

Thus, B.

My Ans: D
From 1: If X = 3 then both side are equal
If X # 3 then both side are not equal
This information is enough to answer the question.
From 2: X is negative integer, both side are not equal

So, both are individually enough to answer the question.

I think I answer varies in the way one solves
sqrt(X-3)^2.
If it is assumed as [sqrt(X-3)]^2 , then the answer is D.
On the other hand, if it is assumed as sqrt[(X-3)^2], then the answer is B.

In these situation, what to assume?! :?
