Got this one right but would like to see how you guys solve it....

Is the hundreths digit of the decimal d greater that 5

1) The tenths digit of 10d is 7

2) The thousandths digit of d/10 is 7

I am saying D

10d = moving decimal one place to the right means that .07*10=.7

d/10 = moving decimal one place to the left meaning .07/10 = .007

that is how it seems to me :)

let d = x.abcd
10d=xa.bcd c is 7 suff

d/10= 0.xabcd c is 7 suff

I get D also.

Let d = 0.0x, where x is the unknown digit.

from 1: the tenths digit of 10d = 7
10d = (10)(0.0x) = 0.x
if x = 7, then the 100ths digit is >5
SUFF

from 2: the hundredths digit of 10d = 7
d/10 = (0.0x)/(10) = 0.00x
if x = 7, then the 100ths digit is >5
SUFF

So, D.
