Is the perimeter of a rectangle more than 30 square yards?

(1) Its area is more than 57 square yards.
(2) The length of the diagonals of the rectangle are 17 yards each.

This is a D.

I. Area greater than 57. Min perimeter case will be a square. Square root of 57 can be found.

II. Again minimum case will be a square with diagonal 17.


In either case we can find out the perimter.

St1: Worst case will be square of side 7.5. Square of 7.5 is 56.25: So the perimeter will be greater 30: SUFF

St2: Permieter of a rectangle is always greater than the sum of the diagnols.: SUFF
