is the positiv integer n a multiple of 24
1. n is a multiple of 4
2. n is a multiple of 6
Probably the best way to solve this problem is to test different numbers.
(1) n is a multiple of 4 --> if n=4 then the answer is NO but if n=24 then the answer is YES. Not sufficient.
(2) n is a multiple of 6 --> if n=6 then the answer is NO but if n=24 then the answer is YES. Not sufficient.
(1)+(2) Well, n is obviously a multiple of LCM of 4 and 6, so n is a multiple of 12. Now, again if n=12 then the answer is NO but if n=24 then the answer is YES. Not sufficient.
Answer: E.
