1) if you simplify 75-n > n-50 we get n<62.5 ; this condition is sufficient to say that n is closer to 50 than to 75 .

2) not enough information both n=61 and n=71 yield different results .

I also go for A.
(1) On th number line, distance between 75 and n is greater than that b/w n and 50 . This implies that value of n is closer to 50 than 75.
SUFFICIENT
(2)The midpoint between 75 and 50 is 62.5. acc to (2), n>60 so it can be either <62.5 or greater than this.

Consider N = -1 and N = 70 both satisfy A but -1 is closer to 50 and 70 is closer to 75.

Once we know that N > 60 then we can safely eliminate -1.


N= 70 doesn't satisfy eqn 1

N= -1 still says that N is closer to 50
