Hi,

I have just one question.

Is TOEFL needed for people applying to B-Schools, people who already have 4-5yrs of experience working for a US firm?

I also did my Masters here in the US.

Thanks.

Regards,
GT

The best thing to do is to check for a TOEFL with indivdual B-Schools where you aim to apply. I think many B-Schools would give you a waiver based on the fact that you have done your MS, and worked in the US. However, be aware of the fact that sometimes the B-Schools need an English proficiency certification/proof before they can give you Graduate Assistantship.

I agree. But you can safely assume that you have to take the TOEFL unless you graduated from a program in English regardless of where you worked (most policies follow this idea)

You have to take TOEFL if the medium of instruction in your graduation is not English. Though some schools have made it compulsory for the int applicants to provide a toefl but majority of them dont ask if you comply with the condition mentioned earlier.
+1 Kudo for the enlightening question for many members.

Thanks all for the replies and the Kudos! That was my first kudos! :-D

I have graduated with a Masters degree from the University of Arizona. Does that count as graduating from a school where the medium of instruction is English?

Thanks.

This rule does only applies to undergraduate degrees. I think it is a good idea to take the TOEFL, since you have been in the US for a while it wont be a big deal to get a good score and it may occasionally help on your app package.
