B.

1. can be rewritten as (x-2)(x-1) = 0 => x=2 or x=1. applying x=2 or x=1 in the stimulus, we have the stimulus being either of the two values - 1/5 or 0. so, Insuff.

2. suff. the equations allow us to find the value of x as 1. if x=1 the stmulus is = 0. Hence suff.
