St1: sufficient. we can work out the legal range of x.
St2: insufficient. x could be 2.

Statement 1+2) gives 1<x<2 or 3<x INSUFF. for the same reason as Staement1.

Stmt1: (x-3)(x-2)(x-1)>0 is satisfied for x > 3 and 1<x<2
so INSUFF

Stmt2: INSUFF

Taken them together:

x> 1 and (x-3)(x-2)(x-1)>0

x > 3 and 1<x<2

Hence INSUFF

yes answer is E . Tricky ones. Always consider fractions and decimals if working with the strategy of plugging numbers.
