isnt it A ?

stat 1 can be rearranged to give x<y-1. If y is positive, or zero, x is always less than y. If y is negative, x will be less than y. If y is a fraction (positive or negative), x will be less than y.

The answer is A

(1) x-y+1<0 => y-x>1>0 => y>x suff
Let's take y = -4, x <-5
y= 2, x<1

(2) x-y <1,if x=1, y =1/3 => 2/3 <1 but x>y
x=1, y =2 => -1<1 and x<y
not suff
