IMO C

from statement 1:
x= y-z
equation to be checked: x = |y-z|
replace y-z by x
x = |x| >>> This can only be TRUE, if x is positive >>> OR >>>> (y-z > 0)
We don't know sign of (y-z) : Insufficient

From statement 2:
y > z : Insufficient

From 1 and 2: Sufficient

X must be positive and X must be y-z.

1) Insufficient because X may be negative. If y= 3 and Z = 4 then X is -1.
2) Insufficient because statement doesn't provide any relation among x,y and z.

Combining 1 and 2 gives a relation among X,Y and Z which is X=Y-Z. Since Y > Z , Y-Z will be always positive.
Consider Y=3, Z=1 then X=1,
Consider Y=3, Z=-1 then X=4
Consider Y=-2, Z=-3 then X=1

Therefore, the answer is C
