I think answer is E.

1. Z is divisible by 14. INSUFF. IF z = 14, then z is not divisible by 168. But if z=168, then z is divisible by 168. 2. Z is divisible by 12. INSUFF. IF z = 12, then z is not divisible by 168. But if z=168, then z is divisible by 168.

Combine (1) and (2). If z=84, then it is divisible by both 14 and 12, but not divisible by 168. But If z=168, then it is divisble by both 14 and 12, and also divisible by 168.

Stmt 1. Insuff. as 14 is not divisible by 168. Stmt 2. Insuff. as 14 is not divisible by 168.

Combine, first of all determine wha is the smallest number which is divisible by 12 and 14 both.If it comes out to be less then 168 hen clearly i will not be divisible by 168. Least number divisible by 12 and 14 = LCM of 12 and 14 = 84. It is not divisible by 168. Now try to find atleast 1 number which is divible by 12 & 14 as well as by 168. In this case i is 168 itself.

So we have a two contradictory scenarious. Hence insuff.
