I will pick C.
A is not parallel ....leave...., ice and to lie is not ||
B is not parallel as well.... to leave, to ice and lie is not ||
C. is ||
D and E is using passive form.

Well our friends at Kaplan don't agree with C, in this case.

I pick D. C looks like a run on sentence and D appears to be more parallel than C. Although E sounds a little better than D.....hmmm. Between D and E.

I would exclude (a) because of the "to" which does not fit. I would also exclude (b) because of parallel construction (leave it TO, To ice it and then suddenly only lie without the TO). C and E the same logic, so I would choose D.

OA is D.
As you guys guessed its ||ism SC.
C: leave it alone, then ice it, and lie with it
as per OE, it corrects problem in original but introduces new || error by adding "then" in second component
E. to leave it, to ice it, and lie with
the last component breaks ||ism.
