I was confused between (A) and (D) but picked (D).
What is the OA?
also, would like to know the reasoning for (A) to be wrong.

I'll also go with D.
A looks awkward.

So I narrow down to C and D.....Dont know why but called firing does not seem to fit in .... and hence I pick D ( I reckon infinitive is required here. as it is preceded by a comma . had this been preceded by a colon : then I would have picked C ) .... cheers
