C.
E - "to try to do" - ihave issues with it - recovering has been mentioned alreadyi in the sentence, so "to do" may be redundant.

I plump for B too
Parallel structure: 'Someday' / 'at present'
thats my reasoning... any other ideas folks?

I think A
"...to try AND recover..." kills B right away
C is somewhat cumbersome

I like E for this one. I think A and B are out because of the pronoun usage of "it". I really have no idea, but if I had to, I would go with E.

OA is A.
A makes use of the correct expression 'to try to recover..from'
But I still can't understand why E is wrong.

I still don't get why C is not a good option. I went for C in the first place and thought it was as good an answer as A is.
Why not C?
