B & E are wrong ---> "Graham's becoming" does not sound correct. And "it"s in these choices are unclear..

C ---> "having won" is not correct because winning high praise didn't happen after getting the first rank. So timing is wrong here.

D ---> is not a sentence. We don't have a verb here.

My answer was E even if becoming doesnt sound very nice.

I thought A was be wrong because ".... that it moved" seemed to be unclear. I don't make automatically the connection between it and the WP.

OA is A. Bravo.
