James walked 3 miles in 30 minutes today, if he doubles his pace tomorrow how far will he walk in 15 minutes?

(A) 1.5 miles

(B) 3 miles

(C) 4.5 miles

(D) 6 miles

(E) 9 miles

speed = 3 / (1/2) = 6 miles/hour
double the speed = 12 miles/hour

d = 12 * (1/4) = 3 miles
