Hi Paul.
Do i need to explain my job title in optional essay? As I am Assistant, but my main duty is project managment. Or I do not need to write down my job title, just mention consultant, analyst, project management...

GMATcram,

You need to state what your actual job title is in your resume, in your app's data section, and in your essays. I recommend explaining the disconnect between your title and responsibilities right up front in the goals essay, so the adcoms are on board from the start. Make sure you explain the reaons behind the disconnect but also make a good case through specifics that you really do have alot of responsibility.
