You got the ding email today? I checked my inbox and spam email folders and haven't received anything yet. Maybe they are just starting to send them out today and will do more in the next few days.

they wouldn't send you this information through email, i had to log into my cornell profile to see this.

Yeah that's what I meant you got an email saying that there has been a change to your application status and it directs you to log in to your application.

It doesn't matter at this point BUT I would expect them to have the courtesy of letting us know there has been a status change. If other schools give the courtesy of letting you know a change has been made to your status why shouldn't I expect at least a simple email telling me the status has changed. That can't be too much to ask even though it doesn't change what ultimately matters.

I just checked and it still says I'm on the waitlist....I guess they'll update it before this weekend to denied.

Ding!! Via online status change.... No email to notify of a status change...Not that i care at this point, but i still think the school could/should have sent out emails notifying waitlist applicants that an updated status is available...This non-courteous behavior does leave question marks on the way the school conducts it business......Nyways..good luck to everyone still hoping for an admit...

I am very disappointed too from my dream school. At least they should have afforded us this courtesy for the waiting, and zero communication from them. I'm saddened by this too.

I just got a ding mail, 2 days after I saw the reject on my account. Did anyone else get the mail? And what's the wording on the email ? Is there a specific line asking you to re-apply ? Am just curious.

I got that email too. I think it's a standard email to everyone that was on the waiting list. It says that we recognize your potential and encourage you to reapply next year. :cry:

mbawannabe2015 , if you have some time, you should drop an email telling the ad com to show some courtesy/decency, and send you a a formal ding email.

Congratulations RG0105!!! :-D I'm sure you're incredibly relieved and psyched right now to have the long wait pay off!!

Would you mind sharing your stats and waitlist strategy with us? Any indication from the person who called you whether they anticipate the waitlist to move further?

*fingers-fully-crossed* we'll see some more movement before the week is over and the remaining WL'ers on gmatclub will get the much anticipated and awaited "Admit Call"! :)
